Paint Protection Film (PPF) in Keysborough
Clear film that takes the hits from stone chips, road grit and car park scuffs, so your paint doesn’t. STEK and Avery Dennison film, fitted in our Keysborough workshop with a 12-year warranty.
What paint protection film does
A thick, clear urethane layer over your paint. It’s the only thing that reliably stops the stone chips Melbourne freeway driving leaves on almost every car.
Protects against chips & scratches
Takes the impact from stones, gravel, car-park scuffs and door edges.
Self-healing technology
Light swirls and fine scratches fade away with heat from the sun or warm water.
Stain resistant
Shields paint from bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap and road grime.
Virtually invisible
Optically clear in gloss, or matte/stealth to change the finish. Your colour stays factory.

Every car is different, so we quote each job individually. Send us your make and model for an exact price.

- Hydrophobic, far easier to wash
- One booking, one workshop
Our installation process
Every film is fitted by hand in our Keysborough workshop under proper lighting, never in a car park.
Inspection
We check the paint under workshop lighting and note any chips or defects.
Prep & correction
Washed, clayed and polished so no swirls get sealed under the film.
Precision fitting
Film is cut for your exact model, with edges wrapped wherever possible.
Cure & quality check
Every panel inspected before handover, with aftercare explained.
PPF vs ceramic coating vs car wrap
We do all three in-house, so we’ll recommend what actually suits your car, not just the one thing we sell.
| PPF | Ceramic coating | Car wrap | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stops stone chips | Yes | No | Partly |
| Self-healing | Yes | No | No |
| Keeps factory colour | Yes | Yes | Changes colour |
| Extra gloss | Some | Yes | Depends on finish |

| Best for | Protection | Shine & easy care | Changing the look |
Want both? PPF and ceramic work best together, and we can wrap and protect in the same visit.

How much does PPF cost?
It depends on the car and the coverage. Door edge protection is our most affordable option, full front is the most popular, and full body costs the most. Send us your make and model and we’ll give you an exact quote.
Which film brands do you use?
We install STEK and Avery Dennison paint protection film. Both are premium, self-healing, optically clear films backed by a 12-year warranty.
How long does PPF last?
Our films carry a 12-year warranty against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and peeling when installed and cared for as recommended.
Is PPF really self-healing?
Yes. Light swirls and fine scratches in the top coat disappear with heat from the sun or warm water. Deep gouges that cut through the film won’t heal, but the paint underneath stays protected.
PPF or ceramic coating — which do I need?
PPF physically stops stone chips, scratches and door dings. Ceramic coating adds gloss and makes the car easier to wash but doesn’t stop chips. The best protection is both: PPF on high-impact areas, ceramic over the top.
What’s the difference between PPF and a car wrap?
PPF is a thick, clear (or matte) protective film that keeps your factory colour. A wrap is a thinner coloured vinyl that changes the look of the car. We do both in-house, and can combine them.
Can PPF be removed?
Yes. Quality PPF peels off cleanly without damaging factory paint, so you can remove or replace a panel at any time.
Should I get PPF on a brand-new car?
It’s the best time. Fitting PPF before the first stone chip means the paint under the film stays factory-perfect. We check every new car for dealer defects and correct them before the film goes on.
How long does installation take?
Door edges and partial packages are usually done in a day. Full front and full body take longer because panels are prepped, corrected and wrapped by hand. We’ll confirm timing when you book.
Can I wash my car after PPF?
Wait about a week for the film to fully cure, then wash normally. Avoid pressure-washing directly at the film edges.
