Rules from Transport Victoria. Rear windows can be 20% only when the car has external mirrors on both sides. The windscreen can only be tinted across the top 10%. Film can’t be more than 10% reflective.

Can I tint just the front two windows?
Yes. Driver and front passenger windows only is $250 on any car, including Tesla. It’s popular on cars that already have factory-tinted rear glass, and we match the shade to the legal 35% limit.
What is the darkest legal tint in Victoria?
Front side windows must let through at least 35% of light (35% VLT). Windows behind the driver, including the rear window, can go down to 20% VLT if the car has external mirrors on both sides. The windscreen can only be tinted across the top 10%.
Can I get 5% or 15% limo tint?
We can supply 15% and 5% film, but both are darker than Victoria’s legal limit for road use, so you could be fined or issued a defect notice. Most customers choose 35% up front and 20% on the rear for the darkest legal look.
What is nano ceramic window tint?
It’s a film made with non-metallic ceramic nanoparticles. It rejects up to 92% of infrared heat and blocks more than 99% of UV, without the signal interference of metallic films or the fading of dyed films.
How long does window tinting take?
Most installations take 3-4 hours depending on the vehicle and film. Drop your car off in the morning and pick it up the same day. A free courtesy car is available on request.
When can I wind my windows down or wash the car?
Keep the windows up for 3-5 days while the film cures, and wait the same before washing. A little haze or small water pockets in the first few days is normal and clears as the film dries.
Does window tinting block UV rays?
Yes. Our Avery Dennison film is certified UPF 50+ and blocks more than 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your skin and stopping the interior from fading and cracking.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Our lifetime warranty covers installation defects including peeling, bubbling, cracking and fading for as long as you own the vehicle.
Do you tint Teslas and EVs?
Yes. Tesla full-car tint is $450, or $400 with any ceramic coating package. BYD, Zeekr, Polestar and other EVs are $400. Ceramic film is metal-free, so it won’t interfere with GPS, mobile signal, radar or keyless entry.
